Visual Communication Design & Brand Strategy ‣ HSC Software wished to create awareness of its newly expanded suite of graphics imaging products, learn more about its target market and build its customer base. Well known for its unique user interfaces that emphasize creative exploration over production tasks—noted as “alien” by some reviewers—we leveraged this differentiation to launch a campaign: “Planet HSC, Where Creativity Happens.” The campaign showcased HSC products while promoting survey response through placement of inserts into 30,000 trade journals and tie-in promotions at industry events including "Visit Planet HSC, Return In Adidas." Following back-to-back quarters of increasing sales, HSC became MetaTools and issued an initial public stock offering. We designed the prospectus cover and developed the “road show” presentation.°
